If you like Magic Cookie Bars, you'll love these chocolatey, chewy cookies. Graham cracker crumbs, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, chocolate chips and eggless! What more could you want in a cookie!
Makes 5 Dozen
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Mix together in a small bowl
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Cream together in large bowl:
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup COLD butter
Add together with above dry ingredients and fold in:
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips * see note
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Drop by rounded teaspoon on a cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray or lined with parchment paper {as this will be sticky dough due to the condensed milk}. - The colder the batter dough the less spreading while baking -
Bake 9-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Store loosely covered at room temperature.
TIP:
1 cup of the graham crackers was equal to 5 full graham crackers crunched up
NOTES - Make sure your butter/margerine is cold and add the condensed milk a little at a time. If the cookie dough is too sticky.. refridgerate awhile for the butter to be cold and cookies will not spread when baking...much more chewier also this way.
ALTERNATE VERSIONS - Replace your chocolate chips with peanut butter morsels, butterscotch morsels, seasonal m&m's, or the limited edition baking chips for a different experience.
