E-Z Lemon Bars

Easy Lemon Bars created from a Cake Mix and jazzed up for that old fashioned taste.

Ingredients

    1 box Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme Cake Mix
    1/2 cup salted butter, melted
    1 egg
    1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1/2 T lemon zest
    1/4 cup icing sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray; set aside.
2. Combine lemon cake mix, butter, and egg in a large bowl; Beat at low speed with electric mixer until crumbs form. Reserve 1 cup. Spread mixture evenly into bottom of baking pan.
3. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
4. Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a medium bowl. Pour over hot crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
5. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with icing sugar if desired. Cool completely before cutting into squares
